Somru Bioscience is developing exciting technologies to revolutionize the future of diagnostics. Accurate detection of specific protein biomarkers is crucial for the diagnosis of disease, monitoring drug therapy, and patient screening. Immunoassays have been the method of choice for protein analyte measurements for more than four decades. However the current immunoassay technologies lack sufficient sensitivity to measure proteins at the sub-picomolar level. Additionally, the mammalian antibodies utilized in current immunoassay platforms suffers from cross-reactivity and poor epitope recognition due to the high homology of sequences between human and other mammalian (e.g. mouse, rabbit etc.) immune systems.
